Many of our children and young people benefit from the unique experience of boarding with us. We are currently offering overnight boarding for a maximum of 2 night per week in line with all Staffordshire County Council residential special schools.
If you apply and are approved for residence we will need to complete a home visit and various paperwork before a start date can be issued. A Residential Support Worker will come to your house and will explain what we do.
Residence has activities each night and we encourage young people to engage with them as part of a developmental programme. Each young person will help their key-worker develop targets which are unique and will focus on a particular development area.
Many of our residents come in to develop independence skills. We offer extensive help with developing personal care skills, cooking and cleaning and general life skills.
We have a good range of sports activities including regular trips to play footbal, swim and bowl. We also regularly attend the cinema and go fo meals.
If anyone has any issues regarding school transport please contact Lyn Addison, County SEN Transport on 01785 276243
