Our Performing Arts curriculum is at the heart of our school. All children and young people have access to specialist teaching in a range of performance subjects. We have several staff who work in the department
Mrs Cameron
Mrs Cameron leads performing arts. She has an extensive background in amateur dramatics and a passion for drama. She takes a particular interest in school productions which are always spectacular and a showcase for our young people.
Mrs Lister
Mrs Lister is our music teacher. She delivers class based lessons to all key stages and helps organise and manage instrumental tuition. She originaly trained as a cellist but plays several other instruments.
Mr Woodhams
Mr Woodhams teaches music technology to Key Stage 4 and 5, delivers instrumental lessons thoughout the school and co -leads our choir. He is a wiz on all things technical and a talented musician. Mr Woodhams plays guitar in a very successful local band.
Mr Aldred and Mr Luff
Take students for 1:1 and small group music sessions. They are both talented musicians who perform in their own right and support performing arts throughout the school.
Our specialist facilities are impressive, particulalry for music. We currently have a music room with keyboard facilities, a music technology and media room with high-quality workstations which have specialist software and a fully equipped recording studio.
