Wider community

Half_width_2_boys_quads Ensuring Our Children's Place in Society

We believe it is essential that our children and young people have a place in the wider community and we actively foster links to achieve this.  Many of our older children attend external placements as part of their curriculum entitlement and we have good links with a range of work experience providers.

We have good links with several local secondary schools and some of our children may attend sessions at one of these if they show particular aptitude or have social needs which we cannot meet.  This is always done on an individual basis and with your consent.

Our post 16 students run a cafĂ© in the Old Hall and we are regularly exploring other opportunities. If you are involved with an organisation which you feel would benefit from linking with our students please contact Mrs Carmichael to discuss this.
